I will let you in on a little secret. Analyzing investments isn’t always about technical analysis. Sometimes it’s just recognizing a cycle or pattern.
There, I said it out loud.
When I was 9 years old I was blessed to come across this psychology book on transactional analysis. This book has absolutely nothing to do with investing. What it has everything to do with is recognizing patterns in people.
In short, the book highlighted that people in your life do things (for various reasons) and you will commit a predictable response learned over time. This behavior is a song and dance. They play a particular song and you will respond with a corresponding and predictable dance (where them fans at?)
Pavlov and his dogs are an example. But an even more famous example of a predictable response is how Sonny was set up in The Godfather.
Women and children are more in tuned to recognize behaviors in people – especially in abusive relationships.
The point I am making is, if one can recognize the patterns in people, you can learn to transfer those pattern recognition skills into the investment world and not only change your dance, but change your financial future.

We spend 12 – 20 years in school learning about every subject, except for money. Then we spend the rest of our lives trying to figure out how to make money or how to grow the money we have.
My approach to financial literacy is to teach it in a way that makes the complexities of finance so simple that your investing actions become instinctive.
