To most people the pull up value is greater than the value of their personal wealth.
I learned this years ago when I was in LA and saw the amount of Mercedes Benz’ and BMW’s parked outside of the apartment buildings down there. I remember thinking somebody has their value system backwards.
But in LA I get it. It’s the land of make believe. It’s a place where everyone is a producer and has a script in development. The land of fake it til’ you make it.
People would rather look good and lose than look bad and win.
-Woody Harrelson, White Men Can’t Jump
I’m from The Bay. And for those that don’t know this, NorCal and SoCal are 2 different countries.
In The Bay, Tech Billionaires look bummie and drive nondescript electric cars (except for Larry Ellison, he owns a McLaren F1!).
Buy what you like.
Buy what you can afford.
But if you can’t afford the Ferrari, forget the car, buy the stock
(stock symbol:RACE). You can make enough money from the stock to buy the car.
Or, don’t buy it.
The point I’m illustrating is that being financially free is better than looking good.
If you can afford to look good while being free, even better!
